Well the football didn’t fail to impress this evening – I watched the Chelsea-Barcelona game on ITV1 and must say it was one of the best Champions League games I have seen in a long time.
Barcelona started terrible, like a pub team (and I am NOT exaggerating!), Chelsea punished them for this and were winning 3-0 within 20 minutes (4-2 on aggregate). Barcelona were then awarded a penalty and scored another goal shortly after making the aggregate score 4-4, good enough to send them through.
The second half was another great game of football, with chances for both sides, Chelsea edged it at the end scoring late on to win the Round 5-4 on aggregate.
I’m not a big Chelsea fan at all but fair play to them, they were playing one of the best teams in Europe and got through, unlike Manchester United…
The scum were losing 1-0 on aggregate to AC Milan when they went to Italy. They lost 1-0 again, losing 2-0 on aggregate. This sent them crashing out the Champions League and disappointed Alex Fergiescum, the Man Utd players and the fans. The football fans in Cornwall will be sad tonight. I’m sure all over football fans were loving it :o)
It simply proves that Man Utd are NOT what they used to be. Step over Fergie, your not the top dog anymore.
On the topic of football, you may have noticed the new Coca-Cola promotion where they will buy your club any player for £250k and give you £10k too.
You can enter online, even if you’re not interested, please, please enter registering LEEDS UNITED as your desired team. There’s a chance you’ll win £10k and you may be helping The Mighty Whites out too.
Go to http://www.coca-colafootball.co.uk/. Click the “Win a Player for your Club” icon, click “Enter the Draw”, enter your details and select LEEDS UNITED, that’s LEEDS UNITED.
£250k isn’t a great amount, even for a Championship side, but it’s better than nothing, maybe it can be used to pay off Michael Ricketts and they other waste of space leaches at the club.
