Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle
As expected really. Unfortunately Newcastle’s fellow relegation candidates also failed to perform. Middlesborough bowed in traditional fashion to Manchester United, losing 2-0. Sunderland surrended to Everton and West Brom just didn’t bother.
We can live in hope that Hull City take points off Aston Villa tomorrow evening. Anything for Phil Brown’s men, especially a win, would probably see them safe, and send Alan Shearer crashing to the Coca Cola league.
Well done to all Liverpool fans this weekend who mocked Shearer today with chants of “Stayed on the telly… you should have stayed on the telly”
