Bath City’s season may not start until next week, but most other teams began their campaign this weekend. On the whole, every single result of every game played was shit.
The highlight of the weekend’s football was seeing all the Manchester United fans, sat in front of advertising hoardings displaying the message “SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TEAM”.
Unless Southend United and Exeter City sell about 50,000 season tickets in the next week, that advertising campaign has failed.
