I’ve just watched the Fulham-Man Utd game which finished 1-1, Mr. Ferguson was not impressed – hahahaha! Alan Smith got the first goal for Manchester United and he is who I will be blogging about tonight.

Long time visitors to Sparkster.net will know that since Smith’s move from Leeds to Man Utd, he hasn’t been my favourite player. In fact I commonly referred to him as Alan “Scum” Smith. I think for myself it is time to move on from these feelings and remember the good he did for Leeds.

Last season, I learnt that the Leeds board had set a meeting with Smith where they told him that he would be sold and had no Leeds future; this was even before the season ended. Smith left the meeting in tears – not really a player desperate to get away.

While at Leeds, Smithy always gave 110% even when the other 10 players on the pitch were simply pissing about. If all the other Leeds players over the past 3 seasons gave as much effort as Smithy did Leeds wouldn’t be in the position they are now – they would be top of the Premiership!

Smith still loves Leeds. According to many, while playing for Man Utd in last weeks Champions League game against Fenerbahce, he was asked by Man Utd fans to “kiss the badge” as he so commonly did for Leeds. Smith then shook his head and did the trademark Leeds salute!

I’d now like to wish Smithy all the best of luck in his career (although I do still want Man Utd to fail!). Also to say, if you ever get the chance to leave Man Utd please take it! I will always welcome Smith is always welcome back at Elland Road when he decides its time to come home.

I still HATE Man Utd by the way! :o)

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
