I’ve been off work for the last three days with cold. As well as contending with a sore throat and head aches I have got through a whole box of Kleenex to collect the ongoing snot spraying from my nose – nice!
The weather outside didn’t help much, it hasn’t been warm (well, it is October!) so have been inside drinking hot coffee while playing Fifa 2006 (well… too ill to work, too ill to go out, what’s a man got left to do?).
Lunchtime today, pretty chilly, had to find something to warm me up. I managed to create a very tasty snack that did the trick heating me up and one I will definitely have again over the winter…
Take a can of soup, preferably one of those ones with chunks of vegetables and pasta in (the ones drama series use for vomit) and simply add a teaspoon of hot chilli powder (more teaspoons of you’re a sadist), heat in the microwave and you have yourself a very nice cold weather snack!
As for my cold, I’m all cleared up now (more or less) and will be heading back to work tomorrow. Not bad really, only two days to the weekend! :o)
