Just a quick, late night blog to congratulate the Leeds United players on tonight’s performance against Premiership outfit Wigan. They may have lost on penalties but the overall performance of the team over 120 minutes was superb.
3 times Wigan took the lead and 3 times Leeds battled back to equalise. The final goal of the game, from Gary Kelly was outstanding. You’ll have to see it to believe it, he doesn’t score goals that often but when he does they’re crackers.
If they can bring this fighting spirit into their league games promotion is well on track. Well done Leeds! There’s always next year.
