I’m not feeling well and went home from work early. This means I won’t be going out with Claire for her work leaving party tonight, and I’ll miss Bath City’s pre-season friendly at Mangotsfield (not that I would have been going to the latter, anyway). Summer is the worst time of year to be ill – FACT.
To make matters worse, I got a letter informing me that the rent for my flat is going up by £15 a month (it could have been a LOT worse) and the streaming football tool on my PC has stopped working – hopefully it isn’t the end of Sky Sports for me.
You know football is close when you get your season ticket. I collected mine this afternoon after doing some IT work for the club. It’s great to hold the book, full of unused matchday tickets and anticipate all the games that lie ahead across the season. I can’t wait :o)
I was saddened and disappointed when I heard the news that ex-Leeds United player, Harry Kewell, decided to leave Liverpool and sign for the Turkish side, Galatasaray.
Kewell was part of the Leeds United team that visted Istanbul to play Galatasaray in 2000, where two Leeds fans were murdered. The tragedy brought fans and players together; and squad members, including Kewell, met with the victims’ friends and families.
For Kewell to sign for Gala, and even appear on Sky Sports News, praising the support of the Turkish fans, is just sickening and disrespectful to the Leeds fans that lost their lives on that tragic night.
A little test I stumbled across on the BBC website. I scored 16/20. The questions on “what does this word mean?” caused me to drop 4 points.
I also had a bit of trouble with the question below…
