I have my laptop back and I am pleased to report that it appears it has been fixed successfully.

So impressed was I with PC World and their team of TechGuys, I decided to reward them by buying myself an external hard disk drive from their shop. I’ve been meaning to buy one for sometime as I have no other means of backing up my MP3s and videos, so it was quite an essential purchase.

I had a call and a text on my mobile this morning to say that my laptop has been repaired and is ready for collection.

I will reserve judgement until I have got it back home and checked it is fully working, but I am initially impressed with Compaq and The TechGuys this time. I’m being careful not to heap too much praise upon them – after all, if they were perfect, the laptop wouldn’t have broken in the first place.

I woke up with a sore throat that has got progressively worse as the day has gone on. No amount of Halls cough sweets can make it feel any better. Whoever has given me this cold virus is a bastard.

On a totally separate subject; both the ferocious spider and wasp featured in yesterdays blog have disappeared from the window outside my flat. As long as they are not inside the flat, I am pleased.

Who here has seen the movie King Kong? Not the old, black & white original; the Peter Jackson remake. Remember the fight between King Kong and the T-Rex? Arguably the ultimate ‘battle of the beasts’ – well that fight has now been surpassed…

This afternoon, a wasp flew into my flat. I somehow managed to avoid being stung and even chased it back out of the open window.

Right outside my flat, the mother of all spiders has decided to make its home. This spider has been troubling me greatly for weeks, but due to its size, I am wary of getting into any confrontation with it. The eight-legged beast also knows I am a spider killer (it obviously reads my blog), so therefore leaves me alone. Let’s just say we have a mutual respect for each other.

The escaping wasp was obviously totally unaware of this spider, and flew right into its web. Cue a massive battle between the ferocious, winged, stinging wasp and the eight legged, multi-fanged arachnid. The fight was extremely violent and blood was spilt. There could, however, be only one winner… the spider.

No doubt this horrible creature will consume the wasp, and grow even larger in size. At this rate, it will be catching small birds in its web, before turning its attention to bigger prey – namely myself!

Spotted in Sainsbury’s supermarket yesterday…

What do they put in these imported sausages to make them unsuitable for minors?

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
