Tomorrow I am going to Walsall to see Claire. I will be leaving my flat at the ungodly hour of 0800 GMT.
Even though she was in Bath just a week ago, it will be really nice to see her again and I am really looking forward it, despite the early start.
While up there, we will be going to watch Walsall FC, who are coincidentally playing a team local to me – Yeovil Town. We will be going in the home end, so will no doubt be surrounded by thousands of Adrian Chiles and Frank Skinner soundalikes.
It will be strange in a ground alongside thousands of fans of a team I don’t support; and although I will probably enjoy the game, I will not be too bothered by the outcome – just as long as there are goals and Claire and me have a good time. I suppose as a Bath City fan, I should want Yeovil to lose. So I guess… come on Walsall.
That said, I would take Walsall losing 10-0 if I find out from my iPhone that Bath City have beaten Basingstoke 1-0 tomorrow.

- A Great Advert For Piracy
So, as planned, Claire and I went to the cinema to watch The Lion King.
The experience was a great advert for movie piracy. Not because the film was poor - far from it (more on that later). The problem was our fellow cinema-goers.
The issue with the other Lion King fans, was that they had an...
- An Elderly Couple’s Shopping Trip
It was my wonderful wife's birthday last week. She was celebrating the big '30'. Claire was complaining of being old. Nothing has changed. It is hardly like she transformed from Miley Cyrus to Jackie Stallone, as the clock struck midnight, on the day of her birthday.
Anyway, given the fact I am 36, I hardly think...
- Salad Dodger
There is a reason that I try to avoid self-service salad bars - hygiene. Some may call this paranoid. What I witnessed yesterday, gives weight to my reasons to steer clear of these bacteria traps...
While visiting a local Harvester restaurant, I observed the comings and goings from the salad counter. It was naturally busy. A...
- My Bank Holiday Weekend
After a very busy week at work, I was hoping for a restful Bank Holiday weekend. What I got was far from relaxing. I was out of the house every one of the three days. I've returned to work for a break!
Saturday was the quietest day. I went to Twerton Park, home of Bath City,...
- A Weekend In London
I travelled far, far away from Bath at the weekend. We went all the way to a little village called London - you may have heard of it. Sorry I haven't blogged about it until now, I ended up going to jail and I had to miss three turns, as I didn't have a Get...
