Despite Bath City’s defeat and Leeds throwing away a 3-1 lead to draw against Portsmouth, there have been two sporting moments which have pleased me today.
Manchester United conceded a late equaliser against Birmingham. To make things better, the goal scored by Lee Bowyer was a foul on a Man Utd player, was offside and a handball. It shouldn’t have stood on 3 counts. Hahaha.
In other excellent sporting news, tonight will no doubt see England retain The Ashes in Australia. While I would like to give credit to the entire England Cricket Team, I would also like to laugh at Ricky Ponting’s Australia…. Hahahahaha *breathes* hahahahaha *breathes* hahahahaha. I need to go now, I have to change my underwear.
After many Bath City supporters spent hours clearing the Twerton Park pitch of snow across the last week, it would have a been a nice gesture of the players to repay the fans with a win against Forest Green Rovers. Cue a 4-2 defeat. Bollocks.
Boxing Day is traditionally a big event on the football calendar. However, due to the recent snow and freezing conditions, today’s match between Bath City and Newport County was unable to go ahead.
In an attempt to ensure City’s game against Forest Green Rovers, in just two days time, is playable, a number of Bath City supporters, myself included, crawled from the warmth of our beds and made our way to Twerton Park to clear snow from the pitch.
A few hours was spent with shovels and brushes and there is still more to do before Tuesday’s match. Hopefully Mother Nature, who caused this mess in the first place, will turn up the heat and get rid of some of the snow for us.
As its Christmas, I will not be writing a very long blog. I have a very busy day ahead of me – mainly eating, drinking and watching the television. Therefore I have no time to blog and even if I did, it would by about eating, drinking and watching TV.
Besides which, everyone who normally bothers to read this blog is probably busy themselves, so it is arrogant of me to think they would bother to check out my website on a day so holy.
Anyway, I wish you a Happy Christmas. I hope Santa has brought you everything you wanted and you enjoy The Royle Family tonight.
I’ve just taken a look at the Naughty List
Look who’s at the top of it!
Wayne’s had the last laugh, though. He’s spending the night with Mrs. Clause.
