Last night there was a pub quiz at Bath City FC
My teammates and I were by far the youngest team to enter the competition, with a combined age of just 101. Some teams had individual members close to that age.
Therefore, we were pleased when we got a question on Andy Pandy right
We also knew the name of Harry Potter’s owl
Although didn’t know the name given to the wife of an Earl. We put Joy – she’s married to My Name Is Earl. It was wrong.
There was controversy over the question “Who is older, Bobby or Jack Charlton”. The quizmaster got it wrong. We got it right.
There was accusations of cheating. My iPhone was never used for such matters… honest!
We came second from bottom. Shame. I could have done with a wooden spoon.
A fellow Bath City fan, from a rival quiz team, left his phone on somebody else’s table. He got ‘Facebook raped’. In the words of Shaggy “It wasn’t me”

While I was enjoying a weekend celebrating Leeds United's promotion, my other club, Bath City, also had a very important event on the Sunday.
Due to finishing the football season in a very respectable fourth place, City were invited to enter a play off competition alongside five other teams.
The prize for winning the play offs is...
- Ranting And Raving
There was an illegal rave in Bath last night.
Judging by the reaction of local residents on social media, this was undoubtedly the biggest event to take place here since Asterix visited the City in 50 BC.
Unsurprisingly, the vast majority have been condemning the rave, with any excitement the result of outrage and not illegal drugs...
- Anniversary 2020
Over 12 years ago, Claire and I entered into a relationship together which would change our lives forever. Five years ago today, we tied the knot, becoming Mr and Mrs Kitson, in what remains by far the happiest day of my life
During the five years as husband and wife, we have had to overcome what...
- 10 Years Ago This Weekend…
Leeds promoted on the Saturday. Bath City promoted on the Sunday.
Anyone who thinks it must have been fun, clearly isn't a football fan. One of the most stressful weekends of my life!
