Today we took one step closer to our wedding. The church, where we will marry, was booked. It was our first choice venue and is our local parish. Next up, we need to find somewhere for our wedding reception, before choosing between Hello! or OK Magazine for the exclusive photo shoot.
You’ll probably have noticed that I have been blogging a lot more lately. If you haven’t, it has all been in vain and I have been talking to myself like a weird wineo on a park bench. The reason the recent explosion of blogging diarrhoea? My little blog is 3 months shy of reaching the grand old age of 10 years old! I was blogging before the craze hit; when everyone, including their pet goldfish had a blog; and now, when it is sad again. So with it being my blog’s “testimonial year”, I am aiming to blog every day for as long as possible. This will probably last for one more week… at most.
The seasonal ice rink in Victoria Park may have shut for the year, but that didn’t stop its owners covering the whole of Bath’s roads and pavements in ice this morning. While some ski enthusiasts no doubt welcomed the free skate, those like me, making our way to work did not appreciate the treacherous commute to the office.
As the ‘FIFA Team of the Year 2013’ is announced; once again, it is all very unsurprising.
As the Leeds fans sing to their hapless hero each week, “We all dream of a team of Michael Browns”
It’s been about 6 months since I passed my driving test and I had not driven since. Given the fact I did not drive home on the day I passed my test, I had never driven as a qualified driver either. This was all until yesterday, when I took a refreshed lesson-cum-Pass Plus course.
I took so long to get my licence that my original instructor retired. He was a young man when he took me on my first lesson and was ready to collect his pension on the day I passed.
The lesson went well. Surprisingly, I hadn’t forgotten how to drive a car. I suppose those hours put into playing Grand Theft Auto 5 all paid off. I even learnt a couple of new things, which will come in very useful when I am let loose behind the wheel without an instructor in the passenger seat. When that day does finally arrive, everyone should remain inside, lock their doors and windows, and pray to whatever God they may have. If they do not have a God, they should get one – fast.
