I know I like Panini World Cup stickers. Some may even say I have developed a rabid obsession for them. Despite my secret “business” trip to Brazil last week, I can assure you, I am not behind this. In the words of Shaggy, “It wasn’t me”.
It is so cold in our house. It feels like we’re living in a fridge. It’s April. April! Granted, it’s never been a sunbathing month, but I’m starting to worry about snow overnight. Why does it feel so cold? I’m off to wrap myself up in my Leeds United onesie, go to bed and hope I wake up and not freeze in my sleep.
It’s like I’ve never been away. I only had to use Homer Simpson’s line of “It’s my first day” twice.
Tomorrow I start a new job. You may find it hard to believe, but the fact David Moyes lost his today, is just a coincidence. I can exclusively reveal that I have ruled myself out of the Manchester United position.
No, my new job is my old job. My old job is from four years ago at the RUH. After some happy years at AWP, I thought it was time to return to my roots, so to speak.
For those of you who keep a close eye on my blog, the new job was about what the smiley faced post was about a couple of months ago.
Today was the last football game I attended of the season. OK, Bath City play once more next week and Leeds have a few more inevitable defeats. However, that’s it for me until the friendlies in July. So, as always, here are the stats. Boring for those who dislike football and boring for those who like football too.
Games attended: 32
Miles travelled: 1,503
Grounds visited: 8
Goals seen FOR Bath/Leeds: 46
Goals seen AGAINST Bath/Leeds: 30
Total goals seen: 76
A pretty shameful season, really. Well, Bath City did OK. I meant my efforts have been poor. Leeds have been shit though. Beyond shit, in fact. On my part, it’s been the lack of away games, which have resulted in these shocking results. Hopefully next season will be better. Hopefully, but probably not.
