My prize arrived!
I spent the majority of last night and this evening opening packs of World Cup stickers. Anyone wannna do some swaps?
Look what arrived in the post this morning! My World Cup stickers! I was so excited. It is going to take ages to open all 100 packets, though. I spent quite a while this evening opening and sticking, and only managed to do half a dozen packs.
I’m fully aware of the challenge ahead. There are over 600 stickers to collect, with only 5 in each packet. This means, once I have opened all 100 packets I bought from Amazon, even if I have no duplicates, I still won’t have filled the album.
I will, of course, get swapsies. Lots of them, no doubt. The plan is to trade them with Sam. Those I am unable to exchange with him, I’ll have to find somebody else to swap with. I’ll probably hang around outside schools and children’s parks, in the hope we can look at each other’s swapsies. What could possibly go wrong?
We have lots of nosey neighbours on our street. However, one house is exceptionally bad. The man who lives in the house stands at his window, bold as brass, throughout the day; staring at pedestrians who walk up and down the street. I suppose the fact I have noticed this makes me nosey myself.
Given the fact the couple who live in the house look of retirement age, both Claire and I were most puzzled that when we went to bed last night, to see that the nosey neighbours still had all the lights on in their house. They should have gone to bed themselves, with a mug of Horlicks and an Agatha Christie novel hours ago.
Claire got up in the night, shortly after midnight, only to discover the neighbours still had all their lights on. I needed the toilet some hours later, at some ungodly time. Our landing was illuminated, meaning that their lights were still on! Claire is a light sleeper, and as soon as I returned to bed, she got up again, only to notice our partying neighbours had ordered pizza! A pizza delivery in the middle of the night! I thought I left this the students and their loud, yobbish behaviour behind in Newbridge!
