In case anyone was ever wondering why I own this top, it’s because animals are nicer than humans…
… well at least 49% of humans.
It should be pointed out that not everyone from the 49% is the sharpest tool in the box…
Firstly, what name are the initials TH short for? Thick Head?
Secondly, when Mr. Head updated his Twitter bio to include the words ‘All lives matter’, which lives did he think the popular phrase referred to? White Lives? British Lives?
Presumably not the lives of the poor immigrants, forced to take a potentially deadly and uncertain ride aboard a raft, between France and England?
In case anyone has been worried about my broken stairlift and the prospect of me being stranded upstairs forever, fear not, for it has been fixed!
We turned it off an on again.
See… the most effective approach to fixing anything technical, whether it be a computer, stairlift or television.
I’m sure the fix is not even below NASA, who would no doubt turn the International Space Station off and back on, if it ever malfunctioned.
We had a power cut this afternoon. Apparently many properties near to ours were also affected.
Thankfully the “blackout” lasted for just a few seconds. That brief period was long enough to knock out all my tech, which, once power had returned, spent ages whirring and beeping as it all came back to life.
The power cut also took out my stairlift. It keeps beeping and doesn’t sound very well.
I feel that I may be partly to blame for this… I practically begged for storms during the recent heatwave. Now it looks like we’re in the middle of wet and stormy weather, the power disappears and buggers up my stairlift…
Now this weather is what I like.
Hopefully there will be no more heatwaves this year…
A bit of a sad day. Claire and I were supposed to be heading to Southampton, in order to board the beautiful ship, Aurora.
We had both been looking forward to this cruise, which involves stops in Norway, Iceland and Ireland.
This hasn’t come as a shock to us. P&O cancelled the cruise in June. Anticipating this, we pulled out a month earlier, although it was clear since March that the cruise industry would be hit badly as a result of coronavirus.
In truth, with the current situation the world finds itself in, Claire and I wouldn’t want go anyway. Just do the maths…
deadly virus pandemic + lots of people + vaccine to deadly virus + enclosed cruise ship – vaccine to deadly virus = danger
