Been a little quite on the blogging front since my last post, involving a near death experience after finding a stone in my raisins. Since blogging, I have some news, which some of you may find exciting, while others very worrying.
On Friday 21st June, the longest day of the year, I became the owner of something Carlos Tevez does not possess. A pretty face it is not. No, a clean and valid driving licence. Yes, in a roundabout way, this blog is confirming I passed my driving test. Woo-hoo. Not a bad effort, considering I originally planned to start driving in 2005 (although it was many years after, I actually bothered to have lessons)
So yes, some will be excited. Most sensible people who share the roads with me and use pavements, will no doubt be perturbed, as I’ll be behind a wheel.
I can now pretend to understand even enjoy Top Gear.

Yesterday I went for my first introductory driving lesson! I went to an empty(ish) car park and practiced a few basics… turn on engine, check gear is in neutral, press on clutch, put car into 1st gear, push accelerator, slowly release clutch, drive, press clutch, break.
