After yesterday’s emergency, where my blog broke, I am pleased to report that everything is now working! Hooray!

So, now that I can post images, what is the first picture I should add to my blog…

Before you call the RSPCA, PETA or Rolf Harris (from Animal Hospital), please note – this is NOT my bunny, I do NOT know who he/she belongs to and I certainly did NOT take the photo!

Always make backups, kids!

My blog decided to stop working today, which meant that I had to totally reinstall the whole thing, erasing all posts in the process. Given the fact I have been blogging since 2004 would mean a lot of work and history gone for good!

Luckily I had made a backup in June. A bit of a shame I hadn’t done so in August, as it took me a good few hours manually restoring those posts that failed to make the backup.

I’m struggling to think of what to blog about tonight. In my defence, I spent a while this evening preparing something else for my blog… WordPress pages. Pages are like blog posts, but will contain more information than a single post and more specific to a certain topic.

The first topic is retro gaming memories. I don’t know how long this will take to complete, as I want to do it properly.

Don’t worry, though – I’ll be back to blogging memes, directed at Donald Trump, as well as other bollocks, tomorrow.

My website has recently been spammed by a clock. Everyday, tens, even hundreds of comments would be left on my posts, about nothing more than clock parts and repairs. It’s so random! I should really welcome the comments, as none of my readers leave me any (although, perhaps that suggests something). I have put a stop to it though. Any comments which mention repairs to clocks or time keeping paraphernalia, will be automatically binned. Therefore, if you want advice on fixing that Micky Mouse watch you got for Christmas, don’t ask me!

I was disappointed and disturbed to receive an email from Amazon this week, telling me that they were closing down their LoveFilm service. I have been a customer on and off for many years, only recently re-subscribing, so my wife and I could enjoy some of the many DVDs in LoveFilms back catalogue.

The reason for closing the service is a decrease in customers, who are now streaming their movies, instead of renting them on an actual disc. The problem with streaming is th….

the service often buffers, resulting in a rubbish viewing experience, a bit like the garbage and random symbols above.

The choice available on LoveFilm is fabulous. Want a TV show from your childhood? It’s there. You can gorge on Jimbo and the Jetsets to your hearts content. Should you look for your favourite retro movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime, you’ll be very disappointed.

Luckily, a kind Twitter user suggested I use a service called Cinema Paradiso. This service boasts over 90,000 DVDs, available for rent. I’ll hold off joining CP until LoveFilm closes at the end of October. I am still hoping that, following online outrage, Amazon reverse their decision and save LF, but I don’t hold out much hope.

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
